Privacy & booking terms

Last updated 24 August 2026

We are a family ranch in Cleburne, Texas. We collect what we need to have you out to see the cows and nothing else, we do not sell it, and we do not track you around the internet. What follows is the whole of it.

What we collect, and when

When you book

Your name, email address and phone number; how many are coming and, if you tell us, the ages of any children; the date or time slot you picked; anything you type in the notes box; and how you heard about us. If the event asks for it, the package you chose and any extras.

When you sign the waiver

The name you sign with, the date and time, which version of the waiver you agreed to, the names of any children you are signing for, whether you asked us not to use your photograph, and the internet address your browser was using at the time. That last one is there because a signature nobody can place is not much of a signature.

When you pay

Card payments are handled by Square, not by us. Your card number never reaches this website and we could not see it if we wanted to. What we keep is what Square hands back: the amount, the card brand, the last four digits, and a link to your receipt.

When you use the contact form or join a waitlist

Your name, email address and whatever you write to us.

When you sign up for the newsletter

Your email address, a first name if you give us one (it is optional), the date, and which page you signed up from. Nothing else. We ask you to confirm from your own inbox before you are on the list, so an address typed in by somebody else never receives anything from us.

While you are simply looking around

Nothing. There are no analytics, no advertising pixels and no cookies on the public pages of this site. The one cookie this site ever sets keeps the owner signed in to the part of the site where bookings are managed, and a visitor never receives it. Our web host keeps its own server logs, as every web host does.

Where it is kept

On our website's own hosting, in files that are not reachable from the internet, and in our email. Bookings, waivers and contact messages are not stored in any third-party marketing tool or customer database.

Who else sees it

Square, to take the payment. Our web host and our email provider, because the site and the messages sit on their machines. Nobody else — we do not sell, rent or trade any of it, and we do not send it to advertisers.

The emails we send you

If you book, we email you a confirmation with your signed waiver attached, and we may send a reminder before your visit. Those are part of the booking, not marketing, and they are sent whether or not you are on the newsletter.

The newsletter itself is separate and entirely opt-in. You ask for it, you confirm it from your own inbox, and every letter has an unsubscribe link at the bottom — one click, no password, no reply needed. Unsubscribing stops the newsletter and nothing else: you will still get the confirmation for anything you have booked.

We do not sell, rent, share or swap the list with anybody, and we do not use it to advertise anyone else's business.

How long we keep it

Booking records and signed waivers are kept as our record of who visited and what they agreed to — that is what a waiver is for, and it has to outlast the visit. Contact messages and waitlist entries are kept while they are useful and cleared out when they are not.

Newsletter sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe. When you do, we keep the record that you unsubscribed rather than deleting the row outright — that is how we make sure you are not written to again by accident. Ask us and we will delete it altogether.

Asking us to change or delete it

Email hello@minimoosandcrewtx.com and ask. We will tell you what we hold, correct anything that is wrong, and delete what we are able to delete. We may have to keep a signed waiver even after a request, for as long as it could still matter — if so, we will say so plainly rather than quietly keeping it.

Photographs

We take photographs at events and use them on this site and on social media. The waiver has a box to opt out of that, and ticking it is honoured. If you change your mind afterwards, email us and we will take the photograph down.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from one. Bookings for children are made by the adult bringing them, who also signs the waiver.

Booking, cancellations and refunds

These are the terms your confirmation email sets out, repeated here so they are easy to find:

  • Cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before your event for a full refund.
  • Inside 48 hours we can move you to another date but cannot offer a refund.
  • No-shows are not refunded.
  • We run rain or shine. If we cancel — for weather or for the welfare of the animals — you can rebook any date or take a full refund, whichever suits you.
  • Prices are shown in US dollars and worked out by us at the moment you pay.

To cancel or move a booking, reply to your confirmation email or write to hello@minimoosandcrewtx.com with your booking reference.

Safety at the ranch

These are live farm animals on a working ranch. The waiver you sign before your visit sets out what that means, including the notices Texas law requires about farm animal activities. Read it — it is short, and it is the agreement between us.

Changes to this page

If we change how any of this works we will update this page and change the date at the top.
